The Organ

The organ was built in 1894 by Forster and Andrews of Hull. In 1951, an electric blower was fitted but it remained largely unchanged until it was rebuilt in 1981 by Malcolm Spink, when it was converted to electric action and other alterations made to make it a more versatile instrument.

The organ has a delightful Tierce, a powerful Cornopean and very effective swell shutters! A detailed Word document is available for download for those interested in the technicalities, but the current stop list is as follows:-

Organ Fund

The organ recently needed some of its leather parts replacing. Fund raising events are taking place to replenish the organ fund, so please come and support these, or if you would like to make a donation, please get in contact with one of the organists, or e-mail Owen. owen.ryder@tinyworld.co.uk
